Thanks, Nancy

TOUGH – and very sad – times for all of us here at All Together NOW!

In our last edition we reported the death of one of the charity’s original trustees, Eileen Eastwood.

Now it’s with much sorrow we have to record the passing of another founding trustee, Nancy James.

Nancy, born in Ellesmere Port in 1928, lived through Britain’s harsh days of depression and the Second World War, and knew all about coping in times of crisis.

One of 11 children, she also knew the importance of family life and caring for each other.

Like Eileen, she was extremely passionate about the work we do – and was especially keen to help all those who are not connected to the internet.

“These people are missing out so much on news and information,” she’d say. “Despite all the pressures on us, we must keep trying to get our newspaper out and about.”

Nancy died tragically on March 25 after a fall in her home, aged 91
