SCOOP: Gordon Morris with copies of the new book, Post & Echoes
JOURNALISTS at the Daily Post & Liverpool Echo are joining the fight to keep your FREE All Together NOW! newspaper alive and kicking.
More than 60 former staffers are splitting the profits from their innovative book – Post & Echoes – between All Together NOW! and the children’s hospice Claire House.
Gordon Morris, a sub-editor on the Daily Post in the 70s and who has been the driving force behind the book, said: “All Together NOW! is a doing a fantastic job in the community. The only paper of its kind in the UK, and produced by a charity, it’s a tremendous advert for the newspaper industry. We are delighted to support it in any way we can.”
The 232-page book features journalists’ stories and memories behind Merseyside events – both poignant and hilarious – from the 1960s, 70s and 80s, plus countless striking photographs.
Post & Echoes is now on the shelves of the Bodleian Library, in Oxford – one of the oldest libraries in Europe.
