All Together NOW! shortlisted for top media award

Master Quark5.qxdAll Together NOW! has been stortlisted for another top media award.

The FREE charity newspaper, which addresses health and disability issues, is among four titles competing for the Specialist Publication of the Year prize in the O2 Media Awards.

Since launching in 2005, All Together NOW! has gone from strength to strength, winning a string of media and community awards and gaining admirers from all over the UK – and beyond.

The charity is supported by organisations who place health and equality high on their agendas and include United Utilities, The Morgan Foundation, Newlife Foundation, Together Trust, Medicash, Park Group, The Bank Workers Charity and Liverpool Community Health (NHS) Trust.

Carlisle Living, Lancashire Life, and North West Business Insider have also been shortlisted for the Specialist Publication award.

Nicola Green, Director of Communications and Reputation at O2 UK, said the judging panels were hugely impressed by this year’s submissions.

“I know that in every single category the selection of the finalists was a bitterly contested and often heated affair. So many people came so close to being nominated but missed out by the narrowest of margins.

“The presentation evening will be a celebration of all that is good about regional media…it’s just a pity that we can’t get everyone who took part in this year’s awards into the room.”

With more than 350 individual entries the O2 Awards are the biggest regional press awards in the country. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on November 13 at The Imperial War Museum in Manchester.

BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin will host the evening’s celebrations.
