Why we support National Work-Life Week

BWClogoWorking Families, the UK’s leading work-life balance organisation which partnered with the Bank Workers Charity in late 2012, is calling on everyone to get involved in National Work-Life Week from 22 to 26 September.

National Work-Life Week is the annual week in September which aims to highlight the importance of work-life balance for employers and employees alike.

With the right to request flexible working extended to all employees with over six months’ service in June, work-life balance has risen to the top of the agenda.

Work-life balance is the relationship between the amount of time and energy devoted to work and the amount given to other aspects of our life.

Getting the balance right between these two important areas has a big impact on our life satisfaction.

Each of us has different priorities so there is no one best fit for everyone and our preferred balance is likely to change at different times during our lives.

Our funding helps Working Families to provide a range of information and support to help people to manage the challenges of their work and family lives.

If you are a current or former bank worker please get in touch with one of our Client Advisers or visit our website to find out more about how Working Families or one of our other partners might be able to help you.
