Lottery boost for All Together NOW!

All Together NOW! has got off to a flying start for 2012. The Big Lottery’s Awards for All scheme has handed the charity almost £10,000 to develop our unique health and disability paper.

And more major supermarkets have agreed to place All Together NOW! pick-up boxes in their stores.

The Lottery funding is in recognition of the innovative way that All Together NOW! is getting news and information to the vast numbers of people who are affected by disability and age – and the way the newspaper is helping the public to better understand the issues surround disability.

Printed by Trinity Mirror, and supported by The Morgan Foundation, Park Group, United Utilities, The Morgan Foundation, The Bank Workers Charity, Merseytravel, and Liverpool Community College, All Together NOW! is the only paper of its kind in the UK.

Since last summer it has almost doubled its circulation figures from 60,000 to 100,000 copies – with 90,000 being snapped up in supermarkets and hospitals, and many picked up for the first time.

One new reader wrote: “All Together NOW! is the best, most informative and liveliest newspaper I have ever read.

“I am a carer – not in very good health – and this amazing newspaper has helped me contact various services and organisations I didn’t even know existed.”
