Going Places with All Together Now

ALL ABOARD
ALL ABOARD: Pete Sass, general manager, Arriva Bootle, with Tom Dowling, seated, and volunteers Ben Dowling (son) and Claire Thames

All Together NOW! – the multi award-winning disability online magazine and newspaper – is going places fast.

More than 60,000 copies of the FREE paper are now circulated every two months across Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Lancashire. Now Arriva North West and advertising company CBS Outdoors are helping to spread the word. Colourful advertisements are now emblazoned on more than 20 buses operating within Liverpool.

Debra Mercer, marketing and communications manager for Arriva North West, said:

“All Together NOW! is extremely popular in the North West and it’s fantastic that our buses can play a part in letting even more people know that they can pick up a free copy.”Arriva is fully committed to making all of our vehicles fully accessible as quickly as we possibly can.”

The All Together NOW! charity was set up five years ago by journalist Tom Dowling to provide a first class news service for the region’s 2.2m people who are affected by disability. Dowling, 56, was shot and paralysed by bandits in Iran in 1974 when returning from an overland adventure to Mount Everest. He has spent his career writing about how disability can be overcome.
